Winter Wonderland

Today is the Winter Solstice.
During the solstice, the earth’s axis is tilted at its furthest point from the sun. This means that, for us in the northern hemisphere, the sun is at its lowest point in the sky. It’s also the shortest day of the year – and the longest night.
Spiritual Significance of Winter Solstice

THE BEAUTY … This is the season to enjoy the incredible beauty as heaven touches earth and transforms it into a winter wonderland.

THE FUN … Sledding in backyard with Sarra and Vensee who now reside across the Rainbow Bridge.
One day a neighbor friend joined me for some sled riding. He went first and made a nice track through the deep snow. When it was my turn, I followed the tracks, picking up speed. What I realized too late was the path went over the rock (toward end of video). Yep, what goes up must come down … airborne with surprise landing! That was a sledding adventure that certainly made a lasting memory.

The Magic Snowflake
Wishing you the Wonder and Magic of Christmas every day…

However, there are those that do not consider winter a wonderland.

Here is a snowman you can build all year round.
Nice give-away when the sun is shining and snow is a distant memory!

Oswego NY Route 11 (2007) … Now, that’s a LOT of snow!

  1. I have fond memories of Sarra and Vensee. It”s so nice to see you all having fun! 💗
Winter Solstice today and, where I live, we”‘ve already had two large snowstorms, one of them “historic”, and another is forecast for this weekend – Christmas! My appreciation for a winter wonderland is running pretty low. 😉
