WOLF GOAT CABBAGE … A man has a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage.  He needs to transport all of this across the river in a boat. The boat is small, so he can only transport one thing with him at a time. He can use the boat to cross as many times as he wants. However, there are difficulties: If he takes the wolf, the goat will eat the cabbage. If he takes the cabbage, the wolf will eat the goat. How can he transport all three to the other side? How many trips will it take? (The wolf doesn’t like cabbage.)
