ADVICE FROM THE SEA
Let your cares drift away
Seas every opportunity
Adapt to changing tides
Surf life’s rough waves
Don’t be shellfish
Bet on a shore thing
Harbor strength and persevere!

THE OCEAN
Fishermen go out on me, yet I never dry. Divers plunge into me, but I’m never full.
I bring life to coral and plants, and I’m known for being “warm” around the Equator.
I can be calm and still, yet also fierce and wild. I hold hidden treasures and mysteries deep inside.
I can sink ships and swallow whales, yet people come to play in me.
I cover most of the Earth but am too big to see in full.
I hold salt without a shaker, water without a glass, and fish without a net.
I stretch far and wide, touching every land, and create the line between land and sea.
I’m a large body of water that’s salty, but I’m not the sea. I surround continents, yet I’m not land.
I’m always moving but I never walk, and though I sometimes roar, I never talk.
I’m home to countless creatures, yet no one can live without me.
What can a person swim in yet never drink, float on but not sink?
What has tides but isn’t time, waves but isn’t sound, and depths that even light can’t reach?
What’s vast, blue, and often called “the final frontier” due to the mysteries it holds?
When I get cold, I can form crystals; when I’m warm, I bring hurricanes.

RIDDLES
A mount in the ocean with no pinnacle, encompassed by blue palm trees are my speciality.
At sea, I’m a guide, floating and bright; without me, navigation might not be right.
Beneath the waves, I’m a sight to behold; a home for life, both young and old.
From salty depths, a legend does grow; with a fearsome grip, ships be forewarned.
Home to fishes and colors so bright; I’m a structure that brings delight.
I am a precious gem of the sea, nestled in a mollusk’s sanctuary. My lustrous shine is a sight to see.
I bob on the waves without a motor or sail, a marker that helps ships prevail.
I ebb and flow with lunar grace, shaping the shore in a rhythmic embrace. My movements are a watery dance.
I give the ocean its salty bite, making sure it’s never sweet at night.
I glide on the sea with grace, rising and falling in a rhythmic race. Surfers find their thrill in me, riding my curves joyfully.
I have no legs or wings, yet I travel the world, sometimes bringing calm, sometimes bringing storms.
I move unseen under the blue, making journeys that are quite new.
I rest in silence on the ocean bed, a relic of journeys once sped. Now, I’m a haven for marine life to spread.
I stand tall by the shore, shining bright, guiding ships safely through the night.
I stretch wide and deep, a realm where mysteries sleep, teeming with creatures in every storm or calm keep.
I waltz on the sea yet don’t sink, my mood can change in a matter of seconds.
In legends, I sing with a splash, half fish, half woman, making quite the dash.
In the ocean, I am found, a force both tiny and profound. On your fries, you want me around.
In the ocean’s vast expanse, I inspire both fear and awe at a glance. Though predatory, I’m not always on the hunt.
I’m a gem inside a shell, shining bright, a treasure that tells a story of light.
I’m a mythical beast with a spiral twist; sightings of me are often dismissed.
I’m a path for fish and a diver’s delight, colorful and alive under the sunlight.
I’m linked to sailors, ships, and knots; my term evokes oceanic thoughts.
I’m not a horse, yet I gallop in the sea; my babies are charming as can be.
I’m not a plant, yet underwater I thrive, a garden where marine life is alive.
I’m not a squid, nor do I have scales; with eight arms, I move like snails. Who am I?
I’m playful and bright with a smile that’s wide, often seen flipping through the ocean tide.
I’m the deepest place on Earth, where creatures live in darkness and pressure is immense.
I’m the largest swimming pool, vast and wide, home to creatures that within me reside.
My name sounds “peaceful,” but I am far from always calm. I’m the largest of my kind. My rhythmic dance is set by the moon, disappearing on shores quite soon.
Not made of wood but part of a ship, I rest underwater where no one can trip.
On the ocean floor, I bloom and thrive, a colorful display that’s alive. Though not a plant, I grow and glow, beneath the waves in a vibrant show.
Once a proud vessel, now a treasure below, divers find me where the waters flow slowly.
Remaining solitary or in a group, I’m encircled by water, yet land you can summon. Reached by boat or perhaps swim, life on me isn’t troubling.
Sailors use me as a guide, though I’m invisible to the eye. Silent and deep, I hold secrets untold; at my bottom, adventures unfold.
Slow ashore yet quick in the ocean; a shell is my home, with delicate quality in me. Swirling and twirling, my pull’s a trap; I create waves that snap.
They sailed the seas with no law, taking treasures with a hearty har-har!
Though I’m beneath the waves, I can cause quakes, eruptions, and create new islands.
Though not a plant, I’m green and grand, swaying gently under the ocean’s command. I’m the sea’s own leafy band.
Twice a day I rise and fall, pulled by the moon’s call.
With a sharp bite and a fin that glides, I’m feared in the ocean, yet admired worldwide.
Zigging and zagging on maps you stare; my flow guides travelers everywhere.
