Many calendar days ago, but feels like yesterday, the three of us (wife, daughter, granddaughter) paid our last respects to the gentle soul that enhanced our lives.
It was heart breaking to see mom stand beside dad knowing this was the last time she would see him on this earth plane.
It was heart lifting to see Dawn (ex-military) join in the folding of her grandfather’s flag and presenting it to her grandmother.
Sharing the following because the flag and the ideals it represents were so precious to dad.
