Theresa and Carol gifted me a birthday (2023) adventure. We began the day with an Adventure Lab to the Chautauqua Visitor Center. Here we met/chatted with two delightful staff -and- then explored the exhibits around the Center.
Next we visited Midway State Park, Bemus Point, NY. “Originally established in 1898 as a trolley park, Midway State Park is one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the nation”. Love riding carousels, so first stop was a nostalgic ride on the vintage carousel. Chose the horse I wanted and proceeded to get atop. Seems the older I get, the higher off the ground those horses stand! Needed a bit of an assist, but finally made it, and immensely enjoyed the ride. We finished our adventure at the park playing a game of mini golf. Each of us is pictured with some of our favorites. We even encountered two unusual critters – Stoneman and Bigfoot.
