Students were asked to write an essay on the miracle of Christ turning water into wine. The examination hall was filled with students who were all writing – all except one. He did not write a single word. When the examination time was up, the instructor collected the papers. When he came to this independent youth, he said that he hoped he was not too tired from writing such a long essay. The student took his pen and wrote one sentence in the answer book and handed it to the instructor.
When the result of the exam was posted, this student received the first prize. The instructor, who thought him to be an idler, was amazed. The other students asked the instructor to read the winning essay.
The essay was … “The water saw her Master and blushed.”
