Heaven on Earth

Western Culture – In the morning was enthralled with the telling of each native story.
Eastern Culture – In the evening enjoyed the delightful performance of each kid dancing to native music.
Heaven on Earth – The talent of each performer and the inner beauty shared was an awesome experience. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all embrace the differences each person and each culture offers to enhance our earth walk … making it truly heaven on earth!

Raven Steals the Sun: Native American Eclipse Stories
Bradford Library presentation 3/2/24 AM
Talking Turtle Stories

“A story-filled presentation that will share the beliefs, traditions, and protocols of several Native American tribes related to sun and eclipse events. Tribes across North America have stories to explain these solar events and view them in many different ways – as a signal or a transformation, as omens, as sacred, and as a celebration. The traditional legends of the Cherokee, Navajo, Inuit, Haudenosaunee, and many others, have been told for hundreds of years and continue to be important to Native American culture today. Master storyteller, Perry Ground will bring the stories to life through vivid descriptions and audience participation. Listeners of all ages will find this program captivating, entertaining, and very educational.”

  1. What a great day! I’m glad you were able to attend and share with us.
We humans have a strong tendency to be tribal (in the negative connotation of the word). So do a lot of animals, for that matter – my herd, your herd – my pack, your pack.
The world is now so small that what was once a
protective mechanism is now a destructive one.
I hope we eventually outgrow it.
Events like this are a step in that direction
    🙂

  2. sorry I missed these 2 events they were so special. I really enjoy watching
and learning about all cultures. Its very sad that the world can’t have more
harmony in our lives and the ability to but aside petty difference to learn
about all that live here and to cope with love in our hearts.

  3. I keep going back and looking at this time after time and enjoying it every single time, thank you very much!
