On the Trail

At the Visitor Center we were advised that a storm, complete with lightning/thunder/rain, was imminent. We walked about a 1/4 mile of the 1 mile trail when the sky blackened and raindrops began to fall. I sent a heartfelt prayer to Heavenly Father and Earth Mother to please hold off the storm till we were safely back to the Visitor Center. Unbeknownst to me, Kim also sent a prayer heavenward. The sky cleared and the rain stopped. Kim was walking a little way ahead of me when she turned and asked – “Why did you throw something at me?”. I had no idea what she was talking about. A mini-snowball hit her jacket over her heart. She said it was snow because it melted in her hand. There was no snow anywhere along the trail. We knew that was the angels answering our prayers with a special gift. Yes, the storm did hold off until we were safely back at the Visitor Center.
